A unique, 100% non-profit workshop for Ukrainian yoga teachers who want to study yoga therapy and restorative yoga approach to support students with trauma/PTSD.   This workshop is exceptional for many reasons: A UNIQUE SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE: Valeria Petrich is a teacher with more than 40 years of experience. She studied with BKS Iyengar in India in the 80’s. As she spent her life practicing, teaching and studying yoga with many great teachers, she became a unique source of knowledge for all of us. A UNIQUE YOGA APPROACH: We will learn restorative yoga, which supports our mental health, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumas. Valeria’s workshop has been designed to expand teachers’ knowledge and show them how to adjust the level of asanas to the current needs of the students, especially those whose nervous system is overstimulated or out of balance after traumatic events. When and where? 26-30.08.2026 SatyLounge in Koleczkowo near Gdańsk (Poland)   What is the content of the retreat? The practice of yoga is a practice towards Self realization. It is the practice of observation and awareness. Step by step, the 8 limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras lay out a roadmap to guide us to our natural state, one of joyfulness and fulfillment.  Through our practice and the blessing of good teachers on our path, we have breakthrough moments of clarity and joy. However, often the ego blocks this intuitive process. Patterns and imprints (Samskaras) from our childhood will surface and we are not conscious of their pull. When we choose to practice yoga, we are honoring our natural urge to bring our shadow side to light. This workshop is an in depth training using asana, breathwork, meditation, journaling and other introspective practices to explore these imprints. In a safe, nurturing setting, participants will have an opportunity to use the science of yoga to explore personality aspects and decode them.  This workshop is a total immersion experience to liberate our authentic Self and embrace joy and success in our careers and relationships as never before. Personal sharing is encouraged but not mandatory. Some yoga experience is helpful, but beginners are welcome. This training is ideal for therapist and counsellors who want to understand the role of yoga therapy in inner child work.
